Croquet on a Summer Afternoon

 

 

 

 The community at our mountain house up in Boone just put in a croquet area that I just had to check out, I have played a few times in my life but I wouldn't say I missing out on my life calling. Today was the first day of summer and up in the mountains you couldn't have asked for a more perfect day 78 and sunny.

Flower Garden in the Summer

 

All of the pretty flowers has to be one of my favorite parts of summer. I love this skirt because of all of the colors in it, I can wear it with a lot in the summer a bright coral top but also when it gets cold out I can wear navy tights with it and make it a whole new outfit. These gold wedges get a lot of use in the summer cork wedges are always comfy and so much easier to wear outside then a stiletto.

A Day at the Mill

I have driven by this old mill probably 100 times and have always thought that would be a pretty place to take pictures, well I can finally cross that off my list. One thing I love about summer is dresses, they are perfect to wear, you feel nice and cool and effortlessly stylish.

One thing I love about summer is all the bright colors ! Being a lilly girl I don't shy away from wearing bright colors and a lot of it :) Most people look great in bright colors so if you have not tried them yourself I would recommend you buy a bright fun top for the summer you will get so much use out of it.
