Here is my last post from our little getaway to Seabrook island, I must say though Charleston has to be one of my favorite cities to explore. After a day full of shopping on King St. we went down to Battery park where there was endless blocks of jaw dropping homes. If you have never visited Charleston before, it is definitely a city you need to add to your short list.
As much as I love summer (which is a lot), it's just so hard on my skin. From all of the shaving, sunburns, and sand, I feel like it is a hopeless nightmare sometimes. I have round up some of my summer skincare tricks and favorite products to keep my skin looking great all summer long, to share with yall.
Importance of cleaning your face well// As a young women I did not fully understand the importance of washing your face EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT. I can not stress this enough. I purchased my first Clarisonic a few months ago, it has made such a huge improvement in my skin in its texture, color, and helping heal acne scaring. I have used the cleanser that came with the Clarisonic, it was okay, but I recommend this cleanser from Bare Minerals.
Getting the best shave ever// I hate shaving my legs, and unfortunately I have dark brown hair and have to shave on a daily basis in the summer. First step to getting a great shave is exfoliating your skin well first. Then I use coconut oil (from Walmart) instead of shaving gel, it helps you get a close shave, and leaves your skin hydrated for the day ahead.
Protecting your skin from the sun// Ladies please listen to me when I tell you to please use sunscreen, please. I know we all want to be tan, but our health is the most important thing we have. We owe it to ourselves to protect our skin so please use SPF and apply regularly, I recommend a spray for your body and a cream for your face. Also after a long day in the sun it is important that you rehydrate your skin try this body oil and lotion.
I absolutely adore this dress from Nordstrom, it is so comfortable, and the color is such a fun pop. This is one of my favorite sets of pictures from our beach vacation. I can not tell yall how comfortable these pants are. If you are in search for a pair of linen pants for the summer, these from Lilly Pulitzer are amazing. They come in several patterns and also in solid white and aqua blue. I also love this top (comes in three colors), I will say it does run a little large though, I would normally wear a xl but I ended up liking the large more (that is what I am wearing in the photos).

I was blessed enough to be able to spend a week at Seabrook Island SC before I start my internship for the summer. I soaked up every minute I could of sunshine and shopping. If you have never been to Seabrook or Kiawia Island I definitely recommend it!! My favorite place for lunch on the island would be the sanctuary (pool side) or the adorable old fashioned drug store they have the best milk shakes. If you travel into Charleston for the day Justine's has the BEST fried chicken. I hope everyone enjoys the summer head, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
