Stocking Stuffers

Stocking Stuffers

What are you hopping for in your stocking this year? Here are a few of my top picks for what I hope to see in my stocking. I try to always put cute little girly gifts in stockings, and also things that I feel they can use with in the next week to keep the Christmas spirit going. Things like makeup, and other beauty products are always great because it is usually something they wanted but wouldn't normally teat themselves too. Socks, and gloves are also good stocking stuffers because lets face it, it's getting cold out. And one of my favorite, festive pajamas, but sometimes I gift those the night before so they can wear them Christmas morning. What are some of your stocking stuffer ideas or suggestions?

Classy With a Capital BOW

Dress:Banana Republic SALE | Top:H&M| Bag:Dagne Dover (coupon code bellow) | Shoes:Kate Spade (similar, similar
Tights: J.Crew Factory | Watch: Kate Spade | Bracelet: J.Crew Factory | Earrings: J.crew Factory

Obsessed would be an understatement with my new Dagne Dover bag. If you are looking for a classic, high quality bag that has a place for anything and everything to help keep you organized, look no further. Dagne Dover sells three different size bags to help keep all of your goodies organized. TheTote, their largest bag has plenty of space for your laptop, tablet, water bottle, pens, and really anything else you could try to fit in there. In my post I am carrying the Mini Tote, which is great to hold your tablet, pens, notes, sunglasses, water bottle, and so much more. I love bringing mine with me to class; it’s much cuter than carrying around a backpack. I also like how the bag comes with a long strap for days when you’re wearing a big coat. One of my favorite features of the bag is the water bottle. It is made of a water-resistant material that protects everything in your bag in case of a spill. It even snaps in so you can detach it if you don't need it or it needs to be cleaned. Dagne Dover’s smallest bag is the Tiny Tote, which is a great small bag for running around town and comes in lots of great colors. Dagne Dover was nicest enough to offer 10% off to my first 20 readers who order a bag with code “StylishSassyClassy” AND they are also donating 10% of your order to a charity of your choice, so you are shopping for a great cause!!

I love a good bow, clearly. I got this dress on clearance at Banana Republic over the weekend and then decided to put one of my older sleeveless bow tops under it. The bow tights and heels are really just the "bow" on top of the outfit, pun intended. What is one of your favorite bow pieces in your wardrobe?

How to Study for Finals

Today I am going to share with yall a few of my tips and tricks on how to study for finals!

1. Don't over think it. You can easily sit there and think about everything you need to know that you don't know, and quickly stress yourself out, before you know it you have sat there for an hour just thinking about how little you know. When you are ready to study just sit down and do it, don't waist your time thinking about other things. This also goes for while you are taking your test, don't over think a question go with your gut because most of the time it's right.

2.Set realistic goals. Set realistic time goals, leave plenty of time for yourself to study, and time for to relax. Also be realistic with your grade expectations, if you have gotten 80's on every test in the class so far, you will likely get a similar grade on the final. Don't kill yourself studying hoping for that 100 (you might get disappointed) because generally your final test grade will reflect how you have done previously in the class.

3.Treat yourself. Finals are hard, you need to pamper yourself! I will usually get a manicure during finals as a special treat, or take and afternoon to go shopping, and of course I treat myself to lots.. I mean lots of Starbucks.

4. Get organized. We all know organization is very important when it comes to studying. I not only need my notes to be organized, I need my space to be organized and clean so that I can fully focus. This includes using your calendar and and making lists to keep track and what you have done and what you will need to do.And try to carry all of this organization into the next semester.

5.Get social. Don't just lock yourself on the 9th floor of the library, get outside. You need fresh air and socialization, study with some friends, the rest of your world doesn't have to shut down just because it is finals week.

6. Ask off for work. I think it is very important to ask off way ahead of time for work. You known when your finals will be at the beginning of the semester so give your employer lots of advance for your finals week, that way they can plan accordingly and then you can have extra time to study.

7. Celebrate. When finals are over, you need to celebrate after all of your hard work.

If you have any other great tips please share them with me!!

Layer On The Plaid

Sweater: Loft (similar) | Shirt: J.Crew | Pants: American Eagle | Jacket: Michael Kors (similar) | Bag: Barneys NY
Necklace: Marley Lilly | Scarf: Marley Lilly | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Marley Lilly

I think one of my favorite things about this cooler weather is bundling up in a big warm scaf like this blanket scarf from Marley Lilly, it has all of the perfect holiday colors. Underneath all of my warm layers is a statement necklace from Marley Lilly that was part of their cyber Monday promotion (but I think is still for sale). I love that the jewel design makes a statement but with the natural color palliate allows you to pare it with anything. Marley Lilly is quickly becoming my one stop shop for all things monogrammed. I just ordered a few goodies for myself during the cyber Monday sale that will make an appearance on the blog.
I clearly need to invest in some more plaid button downs because I also wore this one on the last post (guilty). Where is your favorite place to get layering button downs, please let me know. I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving with their families and that the start of your Holiday season is going well!
