Bundlel Up: My 5 Favorite Winter Coats

It is always great to invest in one really nice expensive coat that will last for a long time if taken care of well a wool coat can last 20 years easily. This classic J.Crew coat comes in navy, camel, ivory, maroon and bright red. It is a nice thick lined wool that will keep you very warm and has seaming in all the right places to make it look like you still have a figure under this large warm coat. At $365 it is a great investment (remember students always get a 15% discount) and comes in 00-16 at J.Crew

This coat makes such a fun statement but at the same time can go with about everything in your closet. Its bold checker reminds me of the Louis Vuitton spring 2013 which I loved but can not afford, but this coat is only $85. Comes in sizes s-l at goodnightmacaroon

A bright fun coat like this pink one is needed in every women's wardrobe, I love pink but a bright cobalt blue, yellow, or green are also great choices. I like this coat particularly because there is a seam at the waist that goes all the way around so you don't lose your shape and there is an adorable bow at the waist that really makes it a special coat. It comes in yellow, pink, and blue this coat is on sale for $188 at goodnightmacaroon

A great and inexpensive coat that you will get a lot of use out of. It has a detachable faux fur collar and comes in camel and navy. I love how it flares from the waist so you can still see your figure which so many winter coats just mask and make us look like men and is great to wear with dresses. Comes in sizes s-xl and is only 38.99 at brashycouture

A great cape is always fun to have to mix things up this one has a nice ivory-and-black gingham print that makes it easy to pair with everything. It is on sale for $30 and comes in s-l at such a great deal it is hard to pass up at modcloth.
